Icy patches likely as temperature dips

Temperatures are predicted to fall below zero tonight, which means there may be icy patches on roads and pavements.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to take care if out and about tonight and tomorrow morning and to beware of black ice.

The road surface temperature is forecast to remain below zero overnight.

Winter maintenance operations continue as normal and the gritters will be out.
