Indigo’s Sales Executive Announced as Finalist in Northern Star Awards

Aileen Scott, sales executive at leading IT firm Indigo Technologies, is vying for the coveted Northern Star Awards Rising Star title after being shortlisted as one of three finalists in the 2011 awards.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Indigo has been shortlisted for the finals of this prestigious event, with the company receiving a highly commended in Best Use of ICT in 2009 and scooping the title of Excellence in Customer Service last year.

Commenting on reaching the finals of the awards, Aileen said: “It is a real honour to be shortlisted for the Rising Star category of the Northern Star Awards. It was also a huge surprise as I did not know that the company directors had nominated me for this.

“I have worked at Indigo for over two and half years now. I absolutely love my job and have had the freedom and support from the company’s management to expand my role. In addition to sales activity, I now look after the PR and marketing, client account management, organise events and draft employee and client contracts. I have also undertaken various IT training courses which has seen me become the only fully qualified licensing consultant in Aberdeen.”

The Rising Star award is given to an individual employee who has shown outstanding potential and is proven to have made a major impact and contribution within the company.

“Aileen is an asset to the business, her hard work and professionalism has definitely helped Indigo to become one of the leading IT service providers in the north east of Scotland,” said Sean Thomson, director at Indigo.

“She goes above and beyond to ensure customers’ expectations are both managed and met with great results. She harbours a unique talent where she looks at the bigger picture and comes up with exciting ways of presenting our business with a real passion for our customers.”

The winners of the Northern Star Awards will be announced at a black tie dinner, which takes place at the AECC on Thursday, 6 October 2011.
