AGCC's experienced International Business team can provide companies with business advice in support of market entry and export initiatives. Our comprehensive databases and co-operation with other support organisations enable us to tap into many resources and respond quickly to members' requirements. Our network extends locally, nationally and internationally.

The team can also be commissioned to perform bespoke projects such as the development of export strategies, production of export business plans, sales and marketing support and business development. Market research can be performed either in the form of desk research or in-market research.

The Chamber's wide range of events covers all aspects of international trade. Overseas trade missions provide comprehensive practical information and insights into foreign markets.

Registering with ENI in Mozambique
A new web tool is available for suppliers interested in registering their interest with Eni East Africa (EEA) – Mozambique Branch: https://eprocurement.eni.it/ext_eng/Suppliers/Qualification/Mozambique-Application. All invitations to submit an EOI for the provision of goods or services to EEA Mozambique are published on the two main national newspapers: Jornal de Notícias and O País.

Documented proof of experience in Africa and/or in Mozambique and location of office in Mozambique may be required. The submission of an EOI will have to refer to the commodity code indicated in the EOI.

The commodity code structure is available for download at https://eprocurement.eni.it/ext_eng/Suppliers/Qualification/Commodity-Code-Structure.

A presentation, only in Portuguese, of EEA Qualification process is available on request.

Doing Business in Mexico's New Energy Sector

As part of the Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto’s visit to Aberdeen, ProMexico and Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to the seminar “Doing Business in Mexico’s New Energy Sector”.

Since 2014, the Mexican Energy Reform has opened new opportunities in the Mexican oil and gas sector for both UK and global companies. Being the fifth largest oil producer in the world, Mexico is the 13th in refining capacity, and aims to become one of the top five economies by 2050.
Authorities from Mexico's Ministry of Energy, Pemex, and leading oil and gas companies will set out the current business opportunities in the Mexican energy market.
The seminar will feature relevant topics on energy reform, supply chain business opportunities and sustainability.

Our Trade Missions

 

Trade Mission to East Africa

The Africa Business Centre is organising a five-day trade mission to Kenya and Uganda for UK based energy companies. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to oil and gas opportunities via briefings and meetings with key government and commercial contacts.

This year's mission will be split into two groups and will follow two separate programmes:

One programme will be specific to the energy sector. This is for companies that are in oil and gas, construction and for providers of education and training in this sector.

The other programme will be open to all other sectors, including; agriculture, telecommunications, generalist education and training providers, laboratory equipment, security products and professional services and more.  We can tailor a programme for most market opportunities.
