This course is an introduction to employment law and will help you with recruitment, contracts and written statements of terms and conditions. It will increase your awareness of dealing with discipline and grievance in the workplace.

  • Identify the statutory obligation to issue employees with a written statement.
  • Describe the principles of a fair and effective disciplinary procedure.
  • Understand and explain the implications of making changes to contracts.
  • Review and/or create a written statement of main terms and conditions in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Review and/or create discipline and grievance procedures in accordance with the ACAS Code of Practice.

 

This course is aimed at:

New or inexperienced Managers, MDs of smaller organisations,

Managers /HR professionals who wish to refresh their skills and staff with responsibility for preparing, changing or ending contracts, and those with responsibility for ensuring employer and employee adherence to the contract of employment in practice.
