Introduction to Social Media & Drink WorkshopDate: Tuesday 23rd August Time: 9am - 1pm Venue: Meldrum House Hotel Social media, social networking, Web 2.0…call it what you like but it’s fundamentally changing the food & drink industry.
Switched on food & drink businesses are using these tools to get their message out there and to draw their customers closer to them. Our seminar will show you how it works, why it’s important and how to make it work for you using inspirational and practical examples and show you how real food & drink businesses are using social media to make a real difference.
Consumers are “liking” a company or product on Facebook or hating it in their bloggs; posting their videos on YouTube and their photos on Flickr, or tweeting about their food & drink experiences. They’re using the same tools to identify and choose how and where to spend their money on food & drink – whether staples or luxury items.
Above all, social media puts the power in the hands of the customer. The businesses that survive, and thrive, will be those that embrace that change.
We'll show you how businesses from the biggest brands to the smallest producers are using social networking and technology to transform their relationships with their customers. This workshop will help you determine how, when & why to invest some time in social networking.
