James Milne CBE To Open Granite Expo

A major new event which will showcase the very best of North east business is to be opened by one of the area’s leading entrepreneurs.

James Milne CBE, chairman and managing director of the Balmoral Group is to perform the official opening of Thursday’s (October 27th) Granite Expo, a free event which will celebrate businesses operating in and connected to the region.

Granite Expo is believed to be the first SME showcase of its kind in the North east of Scotland and is supported by Original 106FM and Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

As well as an impressive line-up of more than 100 exhibitors will be an all-day networking café, workshops, demonstrations, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities and seminars on topics ranging from maximising profit and avoiding HR pitfalls, to social media and maintaining a healthy workforce.

Event organiser Brett Jackson is hopeful that Granite Expo will become an annual event. He added: “Granite Expo has completed the journey from concept to reality in just 100 days and we are delighted at the response to this inaugural event.

“The fact that so many renowned nationally and internationally recognised organisations have come on board is a very positive statement on how they view the economy of this region, and we hope that Granite Expo will provide a new and exciting platform to do business.”
