Key Appointment for Rotech

Global subsea engineering firm Rotech has appointed a key member of staff to lead business development and operations in its Houston office.

Jason Miller joined the company as Senior Vice President of the Western Region in June, bringing more than eight years of offshore industry experience. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing business operations in the Americas, including sales.

Mr Miller said: “I am thrilled to be joining Rotech at this time and am excited to build up our sales capacity and target new markets. I have extensive experience in both Brazil and Mexico and look forward to further development in those countries.”

Mr Miller holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in the US, and most recently worked as Vice President of Business Development (Americas) with Advanced Maritime Transports after holding the position of Global Commercial Director for DeepOcean.

Tim Sheehan, CEO of Rotech, said: “I am delighted to announce Jason’s appointment, given his high pedigree of business development in the marine and oil and gas arenas in the US and Europe. Jason will have full profit and loss responsibility for the region, with his primary focus being to develop and drive sales in our core areas of US Gulf, Mexico and Brazil.”

Rotech, which specialises in providing innovative engineering solutions for the oil and gas renewable energy sectors, currently employs more than 150 staff across its three operating bases in Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore. The firm have been market leaders in mass flow excavation since 1998 and previously concentrated on developing international business before deciding to form the central region in 2010 to target the renewable sector and re-enter the Oil & Gas market.

The global company are industry experts in developing renewable tidal energy technology and solution-focussed drilling products and the subsea and renewable divisions complement their engineering and fabrication service.

Mr Miller lives in Houston with his wife and two daughters.
