Knight Frank gains approval for Inverurie HomesThe site of a former steel fabrication firm in Inverurie is to be transformed into a development of 39 homes. Aberdeenshire Council has granted approval for the development of 32 apartments and seven houses to be built at the site of the former Versatile Steel Works on North Street, subject to the conclusion of a legal agreement and payment of planning gain contributions. Planning permission for the properties includes seven affordable housing units as well as communal open space, car parking and landscaping.
Knight Frank will now market the site for sale, with planning permission included, on behalf of its owner Raymond Taylor.
Commenting on the application, Gary Purves, planner at Knight Frank, said: “Knight Frank is delighted to see this application reach a positive conclusion. The design and layout is in keeping with the surrounding area and the redevelopment of this site will benefit the town as a whole."
