Kongsberg Maritime Subsea Seminar Attracts 100 DelegatesAround 100 people have registered to attend the Kongsberg Maritime subsea technology seminar event on the 22nd November at the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel. The event, which is being hosted by Aberdeen-based Kongsberg Maritime Ltd, will feature keynote speakers from across Europe, showcasing the latest data gathered using market-leading underwater equipment. The theme of this year’s event is “Integrating a New Generation of Technology” and delegates will be guided through the application of underwater technology during recent high-performance operations.
David Shand, General Manager – Offshore at Kongsberg Maritime says, “Although there will be a technical element to proceedings, the presentations will focus on the application of subsea equipment during recent projects, the resulting data and conclusions that have been drawn from this data.
“We have successfully hosted many of these events in the past. The number of delegates who have registered this year confirms that there continues to be a real interest in the development of underwater technologies and how they can be implemented to maximise productivity of equipment, increase project efficiency and drive down costs.”
Topics covered on the day will include the application of subsea technology of autonomous underwater vehicles, high-precision multibeam integration for remotely operated vehicles, inertial navigation and post-processing. The Kongsberg Maritime Subsea Seminar 2011 is free.
