Lairhillock Lodge Makes Two Key AppointmentsA luxury North-east guest house has appointed two new members of staff to accommodate growing visitor numbers. The Lairhillock Lodge in Netherley, Aberdeenshire, which only opened last November, has hired an additional two employees to cope with an increase in guests, primarily from business travellers to the area.
Julie Ross has joined the reception department, and Bev Leadbetter has taken on a role in housekeeping. The four-star Lairhillock Lodge now has a team of seven.
Ms Ross, who began in August, will be assisting with operations at the front desk, including looking after new bookings and greeting guests as they arrive, as well as assisting them with any needs during their stay.
Ms Leadbetter, who also started joined the Lairhillock Lodge in August, will be responsible for assisting with breakfast duties and housekeeping of the guestrooms.
Lairhillock Lodge owner, Jenny Ironside, said: “We are delighted to add Julie and Bev to the Lairhillock Lodge team, and their services are certainly needed as our guest numbers continue to grow. As we’ve built up recognition in the area, our bookings have grown exponentially, and we are exceeding reservations targets for the upcoming autumn months. We also have a lot of regulars who are now coming back weekly, which is absolutely superb for business.”
The Lairhillock Lodge is a 17-room guest house located a 20-minute drive from the Aberdeen city centre, and is open year-round for business or leisure travellers to the North-east. It opened in November 2010 and has been awarded four stars from Visit Scotland. 112 views
