Last call for Privilege School Transport applications

Parents with children who use out-of-zone privilege transport to travel to and from school are reminded they should apply to Aberdeenshire Council for a place as soon as possible before the deadline of August 15.

Many parents have already applied and reminders have been sent out to those who have not yet done so.

The deadline for applying for privilege school transport for in-zone pupils for academic year 2011-12 has now passed.

Privilege passes were posted out last week (w/b July 25) to parents who met the July 15 deadline for in-zone passes.

Parents of pupils who previously had a school 10-journey ticket pass and who wish to continue using school transport should submit an application form as soon as possible.

Parents of pupils who had an annual pass last year need not re-apply, unless they have changed school or address.

Parents required to re-apply should have already received an application form in the post but application forms can be downloaded from http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/publictransport/schooltransport/index.asp, or paper copies can be requested by calling (01224) 664031.
