LAST CHANCE TO BUY TICKETS FOR BEFRIEND A CHILD’S BIG KIDS SPORTSMAN’S DINNER FEATURING ALAN BRAZIL

Local sporting fans still have time to secure their seat at a fundraising dinner being held in aid of Aberdeen-based children’s charity, Befriend A Child, and featuring former Scotland striker Alan Brazil, early next month.

Brazil, who played for Manchester Utd, Ipswich Town and Tottenham Hotspur during his professional career and is now the host of the popular Breakfast Show on national radio station, Talk Sport, will be joined on the evening by renowned after-dinner speaker and comedian, Bob ‘The Cat’ Bevan and well-known local compere, Ian Thain.

The Big Kids Sportsman’s Dinner will take place at the Douglas Hotel, on Market Street, from 7pm on Friday, September 02. A limited number of tickets, priced £25 per person are available now, with tables of ten priced at £250.

Established in 1975, Befriend A Child is Scotland's oldest befriending service for disadvantaged children. Working with social workers, care homes, health visitors, and other charities, Befriend A Child supports children aged 4-16 and continues to work with them up until the age of 18, if required.

The scheme became a registered charity in 1991 and in 2010 worked with more than 170 children in Aberdeen City - its largest number to date.
