Ledingham Chalmers LLP appoints first business development directorHighly-experienced solicitor John Campbell arrives from Brodies LLPLEADING Scottish regional law firm Ledingham Chalmers LLP today announces the appointment of its first business development director, John Campbell, who will support the firm's multi-sector growth strategy across its offices. A highly-experienced private client solicitor, Mr Campbell, 54 says his focus at Ledingham Chalmers LLP will be to help further expand the firm's involvement in key markets including SME activity across the sectors, private client and family law. He joins the firm after six years at Brodies LLP, Edinburgh, where he led business development strategy across its private client work. "I am excited to join Ledingham Chalmers, which has an excellent reputation not only for the breadth and standard of its service, but also the people who are responsible for delivering on behalf of their clients," says Mr Campbell. "There is a key consideration in business from my perspective and that is that people buy people first, when they are engaging with a new provider – the team here have outstanding credentials and I look forward to assisting in furthering the firm's success." He is a graduate of Glasgow University, the University of Aberdeen, London School of Economics and Glasgow Caledonian University. Ledingham Chalmers LLP and its subsidiary, Golden Square Wealth Management, secured a 3% increase in turnover to £9.9million in 2010/11, supported by the ongoing recovery of the residential and commercial property sectors.
