Local Burns Lunch a sell out!!

Even Burns himself would have been proud of the wonderful burns lunch that was served up, yesterday Sunday 22nd January at Deeside Activity Park to the biggest number of attendees at a sit down meal at the park.

Deeside Activity Park, a local outdoor pursuits company based near Aboyne, hosted their 7th Burns Lunch this year. Rising in popularity every year, it started in 2005 with only 20 people attending and in 2012 there were 170 there enjoying fine homemade fair of Cock-a-Leekie Soup, Haggis and then Clootie Dumpling!

“It was just a wonderful day, to see so many people at the park enjoying Ken’s toast to a haggis, Shona’s singing and not forgetting Paul and Rob’s playing! A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and to toast Rabbie Burns.” Said Fiona from the park.

The Burns Lunch is just one of a number of special events that the park run every year. Until the 10th February the park is running a sale with 50% off activities, Monday to Friday and 25% off activities, Saturday and Sunday.
