MAERSK OIL UK MANAGING DIRECTOR TO ADDRESS YOUNG PROFESSIONALS IN OIL & GASThe final seminar of 2011 for Young Professionals in Oil and Gas will get underway in Aberdeen on September 29th with the managing director of Maersk Oil UK taking to the stage to deliver the keynote presentation. Danish born Martin Rune Pedersen will address an audience of around 200 people working in the Aberdeen energy industry at the event which is organised by professional services firms Deloitte and McGrigors LLP. The seminar provides an information-sharing and networking forum for young people working in the energy sector. During his address Martin will share with the audience the challenges he has faced, and how he understands the importance of motivating a workforce and making people at all levels feel they are an integral part of a team. Martin will also offer an interesting insight into how he started out his career in the oil and gas industry after graduating with an MSc in Engineering from Aalborg University in Denmark, revealing the lessons he learned along the way. Louise McPherson, who leads the Young Professionals programme for Deloitte, said: “We are delighted to have someone of Martin’s experience speaking at the final YPOG event of 2011.
