Major New Sponsor for Aberdeen’s Events Event 2012 Exhibition

The high profile Scottish Event Awards has signed up as a sponsor to Aberdeen's upcoming hospitality exhibition, The Events Event 2012.

This nationally recognised scheme adds to the momentum of the Events Event, which is aimed at the meetings, exhibitions and corporate hospitality industry.

The one-day event is being held at the AECC, 9am to 7pm on Thursday 19th January, 2012.

Numbers of exhibitors and registered visitors have already exceeded the on-the-day figures for the 2011 event, according to Elite Promotions, organisers of the Events Event 2012.

John Anderson, of Aberdeen-based entertainment agency Elite Promotions, welcomed The Scottish Event Awards as a sponsor.

"We knew from the 2011 event that there was strong interest in this sector and so we're returning in 2012 with a bigger and better event, more to see and do," said Mr Anderson.

"Now we've got the Scottish Event Awards on board, we're sending clear signals to the business world that the sector is buoyant and confident."

The Scottish Event Awards celebrates and rewards the very best of the events industry, and is the only one of its kind in Scotland.

Lynn Lester, managing director of events, Scottish Event Awards said: "The Scottish Event Awards is delighted to partner up with The Events Event, another opportunity for bringing this dynamic sector together.

"Via our awards we are keen to promote good practice across the whole country, including up North, so this event is perfect for doing that."

Ms Lester added the level of quality in award entries showed standards have been kept high, despite the recession hitting the economy hard.

The Scottish Event Awards, now in its fourth year, will launch its 2012 awards at the January event, which will attract event organisers, in-house teams, event promoters, venues, and event suppliers.
