Majority of Enterprise Business Centre Tenants from Energy SectorEnterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) today (Tuesday 2 February 2010) announces that companies operating within the oil and gas sector make up the majority of its occupants in its 16 north east business centres. Organisations including Vector Offshore, Bomar Offshore, Independent Oilfeld Inspection Ltd and Maxoil Solutions have leased space within Enterprise’s centres in Aberdeen, Inverurie and Peterhead. Companies within the charitable and financial sectors are also emerging as popular tenants of the Enterprise centres.
“We have seen an increasing number of organisations within the oil and gas sector taking space within our business centres.” Says Karen Pugh, director of property services at Enterprise. “It represents a low risk option for businesses considering expanding during these uncertain economic times. Although the UK is believed to be emerging from the recession this news has been greeted with cautious optimism. We expect that businesses will continue to view their expansion plans with due care and attention, with many taking an increasingly strategic approach. Companies need to be sure of their market and the associated demand for their services before deciding to invest significant amounts of capital in the purchase of new premises to facilitate expansion plans.
“Our flexible lease terms and the adaptable nature of our office space means we can provide these types of businesses with a solution which best meets their needs. This is not only appealing to businesses within the energy sector but also for new companies, teams working on short-term projects or growing businesses looking for a larger office.
“Our business centre tenants include firms from a number of different sectors including charity, finance, training, healthcare, recruitment, communications and IT. These businesses range from sole traders to larger organisations employing up to 50 members of staff.
