MANSELL SCOTLAND RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS INDUSTRY AWARDThe Scottish division of leading construction company Mansell – which is headquartered in Aberdeen – has won a highly respected award in recognition of the exceptional standard of health and safety management it has demonstrated over the past 17 years. Mansell Scotland has been awarded the prestigious RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Order of Distinction.
The award scheme not only considers an organisation’s accident records but also looks at health and safety performance, grading achievements at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels.
The award comes as Mansell approaches the final stages of its ‘Zero Harm’ initiative, which aims to ensure that by 2012 no employees are harmed as a result of its activities.
Callum Leslie, Mansell’s Regional Director for the Central Belt, received the award on behalf of the Scottish Division from Lord Brougham and Vaux, CBE, RoSPA Vice President.
Callum said: “In our industry, to receive a RoSPA Order of Distinction award is a fantastic achievement and it is undoubtedly due to the hard work and dedication of all of Mansell’s employees that we have picked up this accolade.
“Mansell places great importance on the well-being of our employees and we ensure that we carry out every project to the very highest safety standards.
“Since launching our ‘Zero Harm’ initiative we have seen great results and are well on track for achieving our target – to ensure that by 2012 none of our employees are harmed as a result of our activities.”
Mansell is a construction partner of choice with national capability and regional delivery to the community.
