MANSELL’S ABERDEEN OFFICE SECURES TRIO OF CONTRACTS TOTALLING AROUND £5MILLION

The Aberdeen office of leading construction company, Mansell, has recently secured a trio of contracts in the North-east, totalling almost £5M.

The company has been awarded a project – worth nearly £3M – with building, development and property refurbishment services firm Renaissance Property Ltd, as well as contracts with Aberdeenshire Council and property development company, Tor Ecosse in conjunction with the Drum Property Group.

The work with Renaissance Property Ltd on a new development called City Mount, will involve Mansell constructing five blocks of four storey flats in the Causewayend area of Aberdeen.

The project will see the company demolish an existing warehouse and office structure before building the blocks of flats, which will each comprise of eight two bedroom apartments, on the site.

Mansell has also been awarded a contract worth over £1M to demolish premises in the centre of Inverurie and construct a four storey building – which will house three retail units on the ground floor and 13 one and two bedroom flats above – on the area. A further two storey unit will also be built as part of the project.

With the building site situated in the heart of the busy town centre, the work will also comprise the restructuring of footpaths and crossing areas.

Rounding up the successful period for the Aberdeen office, Mansell is set to commence work – valued at £675,000 – on the construction of an extension at Kemnay Academy, on the back of the company recently completing a refurbishment project on the technical and practical areas of the school.

The Academy will remain fully operational during the works, with minimum disruption for pupils and staff at the school.
