MSE (CONSULTANTS) LIMITED AND APPLY SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Aberdeen-based MSE (Consultants) Limited has signed an agreement with Apply Altra and Apply Sørco for extended cooperation within the UK and Norwegian markets.

MSE’s specialist knowledge on gas compression, turbines and pump systems, combined with the design and process engineering expertise of Norway’s Apply Altra and Apply Sørco, introduces increased competency in undertaking complex Brownfield and Greenfield projects.

Dr Sib Akhtar, Chairman and Technical Director at MSE, commented: “This union represents a significant opportunity for us - Apply Altra and Apply Sørco are already well established with a proven track record in Norway and Aberdeen, where their capability directly complements that of MSE.

“Extending the life and productivity of ageing oil fields is an increasing priority for many and is indeed an important focus for us. Despite MSE already being called upon by the industry for its unbiased offering within this area, and opening an office in Aberdeen earlier this year, we are looking to grow our presence and profile further which means working productively alongside others.”

“We believe that this agreement will benefit both parties, providing the market with a stronger service provider for projects where compressors or gas turbines are involved.”

MSE is an independent turbomachinery consultancy specialising in concept studies, de-bottlenecking, modifications and operational support. They have completed over 350 projects across the globe with offices in Aberdeen and Surrey.

Over the last 22 years the consultancy has established a unique database profiling gas compressor systems from all major manufacturers, providing them with an unrivalled knowledge of how best to maximise oil and gas production through optimisation of compressor performance. MSE’s clients include Talisman, BG Group, BP, Hess and GDF Suez.
