This programme provides an insight into fundamental negotiating and influencing skills which can be applied in a wide range of negotiating situations. Negotiating tactics, the skills of persuasion and other communication skills necessary for the success of negotiating and influencing are all covered.

Group role play exercises are used in this workshop to enable delegates to apply negotiating and persuading techniques in a practical way.

Participants will learn to:

  • Plan for a negotiation
  • Structure a negotiation effectively
  • Apply various negotiation strategies and tactics
  • Persuade others to agree to their proposals
  • Listen actively and respond positively to what is being said
  • Deal with difficult situations in negotiation, eg stubbornness, rudeness and criticism

Delegates will be able to apply fundamental negotiation skills and the skills of persuasion to a wide range of situations and people, thus increasing their chances of achieving a successful win-win outcome.
