New contract advice service to be launched in AberdeenCorporate law specialist Peter Murray is offering expert advice on developing stronger business contracts to companies taking part in a seminar in Aberdeen in September. Mr Murray, corporate partner at Ledingham Chalmers LLP, who is speaking at an Aberdeen Entrepreneurs seminar entitled “Ignite Your Power”, has developed a new contracts surgery which offers managers the opportunity to strengthen their business contracts with expert advice.
Described as a service for contract screening, members of the law firm’s contracts team will travel to clients’ offices to provide advice, identify risks and offer solutions.
“Many contracts we see are not nearly as strong as they could be. When originally drafted they may have been fit for purpose but with business and legislation moving on, the contracts become outdated,” says Mr Murray.
“Any business planning for its future needs to consider whether its contracts support that plan and address the impact of changes in the commercial environment within which the business operates.”
Attendees at the “Ignite Your Power” seminar will be in with a chance of winning a contracts surgery worth £1,000 for up to 6 managers.
Places are still available for the event, which takes place on Thursday, September 1 from 6.30 to 9pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Aberdeen, costing £35. For further information and to book a place, visit http://www.aberdeenentrepreneurs.com/booking_form.asp. 102 views
