New integrity group appoints Group FD as it heads towards first acquisitionICR Integrity Ltd (ICR), the newly formed parent company of Aberdeen headquartered Walker Technical Resources Ltd, has appointed a group finance director as it prepares for its first acquisition. Gordon Davidson joins ICR from BIS Industrial Services (UK) Ltd (BIS), where he was chief financial officer for eight years. Gordon has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector in senior financial roles for companies including Weatherford, PGS Atlantic Power and Dresser. He recently gained his Diploma in Company Direction on his way to achieving Chartered Director status with the Institute of Directors (IOD).
Gordon commented: “I have been very keen to get involved with a business where there is significant potential for growth and development. I am familiar with Walker Technical’s Technowrap™ product range, the great reputation that they have in the market and the quality of their people. I see great potential in this business and coupled with the international growth aspect, this really attracted me. I am very much looking forward to working with the team to build on Walker Technical’s success by developing and growing ICR through its strategy of both acquisition and organic growth.”

His wealth of experience in global oil and gas finance combined with his strategic and tactical skills will complement the management team and help us to progress our plans for expansion.”
Walker Technical’s former financial director, John Brotchie has been appointed to the newly created position of commercial director for Walker Technical with responsibility for international expansion and commercial management of the business.
ICR Integrity was formed in July this year following a secondary buy-out of Walker Technical headed by current CEO, Willie Rennie. The business specializes in integrity, corrosion and repair in the international oil and gas sector and employs 55 personnel.
