Caber Coffee offers share of charity cash windfall

Aberdeen-based Caber Coffee is calling on social enterprise projects to put themselves forward for a share of a £2,500 cash windfall.

The company – which is based on the city’s Holburn Street – regularly makes donations thanks to the generosity of people enjoying ETHYCO, part of Caber Coffee’s wide range of Fairtrade products. As well as supporting the communities where the product is grown, the range donates a percentage of the revenue generated by sales to UK-based social enterprise projects.

Caber Coffee has already identified two as yet unnamed organisations and is looking for another three to share the money. Groups must be social enterprise projects and may be based anywhere in Scotland.

Caber Coffee managing director Findlay Leask said: “Simply by enjoying a cuppa, coffee drinkers can do great things for good causes and we are always delighted to pass on these donations to deserving organisations.

“We look forward to hearing from social enterprise projects, especially start-ups, which would like to benefit from this latest round of donations, continuing a now well-established tradition at Caber Coffee.”
