Stronachs LLP to take on Baker Hughes 10k for CLAN

Staff from Stronachs LLP are close to completing a “bar-to-10k” training programme ahead of next week’s Baker Hughes race – which kicks off their firm’s year-long commitment to supporting CLAN.

A group of 14 Stronachs personnel, including partners, solicitors and support workers, have been training on their lunch breaks in preparation for the 10k route in Aberdeen on Sunday, May 15.

All money raised will be donated to CLAN, which is the full service law firm’s nominated charity for 2016, with staff aiming to raise £10,000 for the cause throughout the year.

This is the first of many planned fundraising activities for Stronachs on behalf of CLAN, with a team of 15 from the law firm also signed up to take part in the two day cycle challenge ‘Ride the North’ in August to raise money for the charity.

Stronachs leasing administrator Liane Munro has taken the lead in organising the team for the Baker Hughes 10k.

Ms Munro said: “We’re doing all we can to make sure we’re up to the challenge of running the Baker Hughes 10k next weekend, we’ve been training hard, eating healthily and keeping our fingers crossed that the weather won’t be against us!

“CLAN is an incredible local charity which is close to the hearts of many of the employees at Stronachs, so we’re really proud to be supporting them and hope to raise as much money as we can for them on the day and throughout the rest of the year.”

CLAN provides emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis through treatment and beyond at 11 support and wellbeing centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
