Kudos IFS membership of Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries approved

Leading employee benefits and wealth management provider, Kudos, which is part of the Mattioli Woods plc Group, has announced that its proposed membership of the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries ('AMII') has been approved with effect from 1 October 2012.

AMII was established in 1998 as a trade association for independent medical insurance advisers based in the UK and is the only specialist intermediary trade body within the private medical insurance industry. All AMII members offer specialist advice on private medical insurance.

The association promotes and maintains high standards of professional and ethical conduct amongst members, and aims to increase awareness of the role of specialist medical insurance advisers. AMII members adhere to a Code of Ethics and commit to ongoing professional development.

AMII currently has over 100 corporate members countrywide. However, Kudos is one of only three AMII members in Scotland, and the only member with offices in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

Kudos' AMII membership comes 'hot on the heels' of Kudos joining the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) last month. WBN is the world's largest network of independent insurance and employee benefits brokers and gives Kudos access to local expertise throughout the globe.

AMII membership cements Kudos' commitment to providing the very best in independent healthcare advice to corporate clients.

Ed Watling, HealthCare Business Development Manager at Kudos, commented:

"We are delighted that our membership of AMII has been approved. Kudos believes employee health and wellbeing are key elements in the employee benefit proposition; the products and market are becoming ever-more sophisticated as providers seek to find a suitable balance between benefits provided and premiums charged. Our AMII membership offers us the platform to work with like-minded independent advisers and influence how the market develops in the future."
