Corporate Decathlon Champions

Wood Group and Centrica have been crowned League 1 and 2 champions respectively, of the activitymix Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon 2012.

Trophies were awarded at a glittering Sports Ball held at the AECC on Friday 26th October, sponsored by independent oil development and production company EnQuest.

League 1 of the 10 event inter-company sports tournament saw CNR International come second, with Technip close behind in third place. In League 2, A2B were runners-up and Logica placed third.

Personal Health Challenge Results

Final event results from the Personal Health Challenge had been kept under lock and key up until the Sports Ball. In League 1, EnQuest took the top prize, and League 2 saw Centrica as the champions. There were also individual awards for the most improved male and female players from each league, with Sophie Hubbard from Hunting, Roger Cluit from EnQuest and Iain McLean and Debbie Moore, both from Bibby Offshore showing remarkable individual performances.

Danielle Grieve, Event Manager of activitymix, said: "The Sports Ball provides a fitting finale to a fantastic season, in which 34 of Aberdeen's foremost companies have gone the extra mile to encourage employee engagement through participation in the events."

Captain of the Year Results

The Captain of the Year Awards were also announced. Pam Campbell from Sparrows and Karen Husband from Atkins were both recognised for their promotion and organisational skills, drive and encouraging spirit.

Charity Challenge Results

International SOS Abermed took the Charity Challenge Award on the night, for their fundraising efforts over the season. Meanwhile, a raffle generated record numbers of prize donations. Over £5,000 was raised, to support grassroots sports and activity providers in Aberdeen.
