NHS Grampian Instructs Shepherd to Market 13.5 acre Site in Aberdeen for Major Development OpportunityNHS Grampian has instructed Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to a market a 13.5 acre site in Aberdeen for a major residential development opportunity.
Comprising a former hospital complex, the site, less than a mile north of Aberdeen city centre, sits on the west side of Berryden Road, surrounded by a substantial quantity of good quality privately owned housing and Berryden Retail Park opposite.
Chris Grinyer, managing partner at Shepherd and head of its commercial department in Aberdeen, said: “The site represents an exciting development opportunity which offers potential for a variety of uses.
“Berryden Road links into the main arterial network serving the city and consequently the site is very accessible. Westburn and Victoria Parks, which offer excellent recreational facilities, can be found to the west of the site while extensive shopping, health and education facilities are also available within the area.”
The local plan identifies the site as being suitable for redevelopment for a mixture of uses, including residential, office and business and community uses.
It is intended the site will be sold in two phases; the first phase extending to over nine acres and the second phase extending to over four acres. Offers are invited on the basis of a proposal for the acquisition of phase one and separately for phase two.
