North-east businesses to feature at All-Energy 2011Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council will once again host a stand at the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference on Wednesday, 18 and Thursday, May 19 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). All-Energy has grown each year in attendance and exhibitors since its launch at the AECC in 2001, and with a developing interest in renewable technology this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet.
The event, which will see more than 500 exhibiting companies from 20 countries, is highly relevant to companies actively involved in all areas of the renewable energy industry - wind (onshore and offshore), wave, tidal, hydro, hydrogen and fuel cells, solar and bioenergy (biomass, biofuel, biogas).
Each year north-east companies involved in the renewable energy sector are invited to join the Aberdeen City and Shire pavilion at the heart of the exhibition at stand AB34.
Companies featured on the pavilion this year include: Webprofusion Ltd, Banff and Buchan College, Green Cat Renewables Ltd and AD Heating Ltd.
Chairman of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Peter Argyle said: “I am very pleased that Aberdeenshire Council and local businesses are able to be a part of this exhibition every year.
“The energy industry is one of Aberdeenshire’s economic powerhouses. By enabling local businesses to promote their strengths to the vital international market, we will be helping them to expand and develop.”
Vice-chair Cllr Jill Webster added: “A lot of work goes into organising this event, and every year the exhibition proves to be worthwhile and beneficial to everyone involved.
“The All-Energy 2011 exhibition is a fantastic networking opportunity for people already in the industry and those thinking about entering the field.”
Webprofusion Ltd will promote its new consumer information website electriccarbuyer.co.uk and will give visitors the chance to see Scotland’s Nissan Leaf – the first mass produced, purpose built 100% electric car.
Banff and Buchan College of Further Education provides training in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control to support those in the renewable energy and energy sectors.
The college’s commercial training unit, bSolutions, specialises in the development and delivery of short bespoke courses to upgrade the skills of those employed in the energy sector.
