OIE Services expanding into new markets and boosting workforceSpecialist oil and gas recruitment company, OIE Services, is on track to treble its turnover in the next 12 months. The Aberdeen-based business, which has seen turnover rocket to £1.7million this year, is predicting to achieve £4.2million in 2012.
The company is expanding into new markets in Australia and Brazil and has recently appointed a new recruitment manager, Keith Ogilvie, to spearhead the growth strategy.
OIE Services has seen a significant rise in its core business of placing high calibre professionals in electrical integrity and maintenance management into oil and gas companies worldwide.
Assuring asset integrity is critical to the continued life of the industry’s ageing assets. Oil and gas operators are committed to maintaining a standard which will not compromise the safety of their personnel. This has created the need for additional support for assets and a significant market opportunity for OIE Services.
The company, which is owned by Aberdeen entrepreneur Mark Cavanagh, has recently been awarded contracts to fill 200 vacancies all over the world, from Aberdeen to Brunei.
Mr Ogilvie states that the company’s success is down to its in-depth knowledge of each client’s requirements and its candidates’ aspirations.
He said: “This is an exciting time for us. There is a rising demand for qualified people in the areas of asset integrity and maintenance and an apparent shortage of candidates. It is our job to plug those gaps for companies by sourcing the right skills from all over the world.
“We’re growing steadily, and to keep up with demand we’ve expanded our team, bringing on-board new graduates.
“We are a progressive company and we see this as an investment in our future.
“Nothing in the world of recruitment is straightforward and it’s the personal service which we provide that creates successful matches for the candidate and client.
“Getting to know our clients to provide a personal service is always our biggest advantage. We’re flexible and adaptable and we know the niche market in which we operate.”
Mr Ogilvie’s team, which has recently increased from three to five consultants, sources skilled engineers, managers and technicians from various backgrounds and provides permanent, contractor and temporary employees for both the onshore and offshore oil and gas markets.
OIE Services is a maintenance management and recruitment company made up of three divisions which combine to offer a total maintenance management solution in one integrated package. 235 views
