Ranger service brings winter cheer to birdsAberdeen City Council’s ranger service will bring winter cheer to birds next month. The event at Lochinch Farm Interpretation Centre, Redmoss Road, Nigg, on Saturday 03 December from 2pm-4pm will encourage participants to build bird boxes and feeders. People of all ages are welcome to attend but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Council countryside ranger Rob Rowe said: “This is a great opportunity to make bird feeders to help our garden birds thrive over the winter period and to make a nest box so they have a dry home to nest in once spring arrives.”
There will be a small charge of £3 towards the cost of bird box kits and 50p for making the bird feeders. Tools and instruction will be provided by the rangers. To book a place call 01224 897400 or e-mail lochinch@aberdeencity.gov.uk. 89 views
