Rebrand for Excel ‘Northpoint’ unveiled to the Market

The Excel Centre located at Bridge of Don has today (13th April 2011) been rebranded as ‘Northpoint’, Claymore Drive, Aberdeen. Northpoint is the new name given to the 60,000 sq ft Grade A Office accommodation situated at the Science and Energy Park, Bridge of Don.

The building in the past has been confused with other Excel buildings throughout the country, which is why a decision was made to completely rebrand the building with a new name and logo. The name Northpoint was chosen due the building’s position within the Science and Energy park and within Aberdeen itself.

Angela McCabe, Marketing Manager stated “Our intentions to rebrand the building were for two reasons; firstly we wanted to raise the profile of the building to potential occupiers especially when we are faced with tough market conditions and secondly we wanted to distinguish ourselves from other Excel named buildings, as we were always confused as to why the word ‘centre’ was included in the name since we purchased the asset. We are delighted with the new brand and look forward to attracting new tenants to the building in the not too distant future”.

The building will be promoted through a number of different marketing materials from brochures, website to new signage. Northpoint has recently become a member of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

Northpoint is home to Houlder, Foster Finlay Associates and most recently Flexlife. Legals are currently underway with an occupier for over 30,000 sq ft, which we hope to announce to the market soon.
