Recycling centre plans to go to public hearingPlans to build a household waste recycling centre on part of the former Grove Nursery site in Hazlehead will be considered at a public hearing. SITA UK has lodged the proposal to build facilities where residents can take domestic waste, including wood and cardboard, garden waste, metal, rubble and glass to be recycled.
A report before today’s [Thursday, 03 November] meeting of the Development Management sub-committee recommended that the application be deferred for a public hearing because the proposal represents a departure from the development plan, relates to land within council ownership and has attracted more than 20 letters of objection. Councillors on the committee agreed with the recommendation. 60 views
