Road closures for city centre paradeCity centre road closures will be in place on Saturday 11 June to allow the Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations ‘Celebrate Aberdeen’ parade to go ahead. The closures will be in force from 10am–12.30pm on – Albyn Place between the Albyn Grove and Holburn Street/Union Street junctions; the full length of Union Street; the full length of Back Wynd, (except for access); the full length of Castle Street; and on King Street between the Castle Street and East/West North Street junctions.
While the road closures are in force, the right-turn bans from King Street into West North Street will be revoked, along with revocation for buses only of the right-turn ban from Holburn Street into Willowbank Road. There will also be a parking ban on Albyn Grove from 8am–12.30pm.
The procession is expected to be substantially completed by approximately 11.30am, with all roads reopening soon afterwards. The extra time written into the restrictions is a safety margin to allow for unexpected delays. 110 views
