RS OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: TECHNOLOGY + QUALITY SERVICE = WINNING COMBINATION

Since its establishment in 1999, RS Occupational Health has focussed on delivering a quality service to its clients, supported by systems, responsive to their business to their business demands.

Acknowledging the importance of technology in this process, RSOH has invested heavily in areas such as state of the art medical equipment to improve accuracy of data and videoconferencing facilities to provide ease of access to its international client base.

RSOH, a leading provider of occupational health services in the North East, is now close to launching its latest technological innovation: Andrew MacDonald, Operations Director says, “We are currently trialling a fully electronic patient record management system where our clients will be able, via secure ID, to view and download employee fitness to work certificates, as well as gaining access to an automated diary of expiry and recall dates. We already have an efficient reporting procedure in place which provides in the vast majority of cases for same day issuance of certificates by e-mail. This new system however will produce major benefits for our clients who will now have full access to their employees’ certificates & records 24/7, without of course any breach of medical confidentiality.”

As client needs have become more complex, RSOH has been able to address these without compromising the quality of its medical service which is at the root of its success. Andrew Goodge, CEO, notes: “RSOH fully recognises that there will always be some things that technology can not replace and being able to talk to experienced occupational health doctors and nurses is one of these things. This latest technology will serve to enhance our medical offering and we will continue to blend the best of the traditional with the best of technology to ensure outstanding client service”.

This outstanding client service includes seeing 95 % of clients within 5 minutes of scheduled times, excellent availability of appointments in the 3 RSOH clinics, and decision-orientated reports which continue to receive very positive feedback.

RSOH continues to build on its success as reflected in the recent appointment of Patricia Douglas as Business Development Manager to support further growth.
