Scottish golfing champion helps Cornerstone celebrate 30 years of care and supportLeading Scottish social enterprise Cornerstone are delighted to announce that golfing champion, Richie Ramsay, has agreed to become its new Patron. The golfing ace, originally from Aberdeen, will help Cornerstone and the people it supports celebrate what will be the charity's 30th year. The PGA European Tour player and 2009 South African Open champion commented, "I am delighted to lend my support to Cornerstone as a Patron for the charity. The team at Cornerstone provide a fantastic range of services in supporting adults and children with disabilities across Scotland. They do a terrific job and I wish them a successful year in 2010 as they celebrate their 30th anniversary." Edel Harris, Cornerstone's Chief Executive said "Everyone at Cornerstone is delighted that Richie Ramsay has agreed to become our Patron and this is excellent news as we enter our 30th year. "My staff, people we support and their families are looking forward to celebrating our 30th year throughout 2010 and we hope many people in the community will get involved, helping us to enable the people we support to enjoy a valued life." Following Richie Ramsay’s win at the South African Open he has also confirmed a new two year sponsorship deal with leading Aberdeen based business the Craig Group. The family run group also has a history of supporting Cornerstone and are delighted that Richie will be taking up the role of patron for the organisation.
