SHORE PORTERS REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND PRESTIGIOUS PORTUGAL CONFERENCERepresentatives from one of the world’s oldest companies – Aberdeen-based The Shore Porters’ Society – have dusted off their passports for a trip to Portugal, to attend a prestigious removals industry conference.
Euan Cuthbert, a partner with Shore Porters, and the company’s overseas removal manager Colin Davidson, will attend the FIDI 2011 Conference, which is taking place in the country’s capital Lisbon from May 1 – 5.
The conference, which will be held in the city’s five star Corinthia Hotel, has become established as the premier event on the removals sector calendar, with key industry movers and shakers from across the world attending.
A trio of key note speakers will deliver presentations at the conference, with, for example, business analyst and futurologist Dr James Bellini set to discuss his vision of what the coming period has in store and the resulting implications for the international removals industry.
Mr Cuthbert commented: “The annual FIDI conference – one of the most important gatherings for the global removals sector – always proves to be a valuable event for Shore Porters, through providing us with opportunities to network with key industry figures, as well as existing and potential clients.”
“As we look to further cement Shore Porters’ position as sector leaders, it’s imperative we stay ahead of the curve and this latest event gives us a fresh opportunity to glean the very latest industry knowledge.”
With offices in Aberdeen and Richmond-Upon-Thames, The Shore Porters’ Society has more than 500 years experience, dealing with local, national and international moves in a variety of sectors including domestic, commercial, antiques, fine art and storage. The firm currently employs more than 100 staff.
