Simblox Technologies relocates to larger premises - Fixed price support model attracts energy SMEs17 May 2011, Aberdeen – Aberdeen based IT support specialist Simblox today announced it had completed relocation to the city’s Science and Energy Park. Incorporated in Scotland in 2005 by Managing Director Mark Le Huray, Simblox had been located in the Science and Technology Park but a move to larger offices in The Enterprise Centre was prompted by recent workforce expansion and ever increasing demand from Aberdeen’s oil and gas and renewable engineering community for its professional IT support services. Simblox’s move represents the first milestone in a three year business plan. The company forecasts that the current financial year will see turnover double to £600,000, with employee numbers rising to 8. Revenues of approximately £2,000,000 are targeted for the 2014 financial period, at which time Simblox anticipates it will employ more than 20 professional IT engineers. Announcing Simblox’s relocation, Le Huray commented “SMEs active in energy industries frequently have a global reach and rely heavily on technologies that can dramatically impact their ability to service their clients, and ad-hoc IT support can result in large, unplanned bills that have implications for cashflow management. Simblox’s growth in the last year has been accelerated by our early adoption of a fixed price IT support model, a strategy that turns the cost model on its head, removes customer risk and rewards only efficient, forward-thinking service providers. For a flat monthly fee Simblox’s clients get high quality IT support from professional, qualified IT engineers, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing technology issues will be resolved with minimal business disruption and without hidden costs or charges.”
