SINBAD CONTINUES SELLOUT SHOWS AT ABERDEEN ARTS CENTRE THEATRE

SINBAD continued its run of sell-out shows at Aberdeen Arts Centre Theatre over the weekend to captivate audiences both young and old with this magical tale of good conquers evil.

This high energy and contemporary adaption of Sinbad’s journey across the seven seas thrilled City and Shire audiences with the bubbles of the underwater scene featuring The Old Man of the Seas, mermaids and his giant octopus going down a storm…not to mention the beautiful Jasmin’s captivity on the Island of Farzaat and her rescue by the handsome Sinbad himself plus even Zumba thrown in for good measure!

Likewise, the technical wizardry of Sinbad’s Jewel of the Crown’s journey to the depths of the ocean thanks to the wicked spells of Mrs Evil herself – Tempesta – have enthralled audiences, just as have the antics of Maloon (aka Debbie Archibald) raised the roof with her raft of jokes and Doric humour, not least her verbal jousting with Tempesta’s right hand man “Fahzee”!!

And of course we mustn’t forget our very own dame Steve Worsley who goes joyously overboard in the role of “Fatty-ma”, the ships cook, and Polly Parrot aka Linnie Carson, whose webbed feet antics and multi-colour plumes add endless fun and laughs a penty.

Both evening and matinee performances are available through until Christmas Eve so please book now so you’re not left high and dry!

This spellbinding production of Sinbad is guaranteed to thrill audiences with a fabulous cast backed by magical special effects and a soundtrack that will have you humming the tunes well into the New Year.

This really is a panto which all the family will enjoy. Tickets are priced £14 (£12 concession) and £44 for a family ticket, all available at www.aberdeenpanto.com or by visiting Aberdeen Arts Centre on (01224) 635208.
