Social Media MasterclassAberdeenshire businesses will have the opportunity to learn practical advice and skills on marketing their business through a range of social media channels at the Chamber’s next Shire Connections event. The ‘How to benefit your business through social media’ event is part of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing Shire Connections Networking Lunches, and will be held at the Gordon Arms Hotel, Huntly on Friday, November 11. The event will be chaired by Belinda Miller, Head of Economic Development at Aberdeenshire Council. Aberdeenshire Council is the main sponsor of the event which will feature a panel of speakers providing practical advice and tips helping you to manage your online reputation and boost sales. Rene Looper, Director of Tuminds, who specialise in social media and offer training, consultancy and outsourcing services aimed at improving your e-marketing, will show you how social media is a practical and cost-effective way of marketing your business. Delegates will be given an overview of a range of key online channels from Facebook to Twitter, Foursquare to QR codes and learn a range of invaluable techniques that can be applied to any business. Gordon White, owner of Fatbuzz, specialists in design, marketing and social media who are responsible for Mitchells Dairy’s online marketing strategies, will use the Mitchells Dairy case study to outline practical examples of using social media in your business and the positive impact it can have.
