Space to Celebrate Local Creativity

Creative people, home workers and small business owners will celebrate the opening of Aberdeen’s first co-working area with an evening of local music, food and drink on Friday 2 September between 4pm and 8pm.

Creative Space is a dedicated area on the ground floor of Freelance World’s Riverside Drive office, where self-employed people can work on a regular or occasional basis.

To mark its official opening, Freelance World is hosting a launch party in the Creative Space, celebrating local creativity and showing off the newly refurbished co-working space.

There will be live music from local musician Oliver Richards plus local support, burgers from Itsy, beer from Brewdog, Art from Grays School of Art for sale and prizes up for grabs including the free use of Creative Space worth £350.00, a free headshot photo from Developing Perception Photography, Cocoa Ooze Chocolates and Dulcia CupCakes.

Alasdair McGill, Managing Director of Freelance World said, “Our clients are self-employed and many of them work from home. We also work for a number of creative people such as artists, photographers and designers. The Creative Space gives them the opportunity to leave the isolation of their home office and gain motivation from working with other people in a bright, inspirational space.”

He continued, “Many people don’t realise just how much creativity there is in the North East. We know from working in the creative sector that there is massive talent round here. The event gives us a chance to enjoy and celebrate Aberdeen’s artistic flair.”
