STILL TIME TO SIGN UP FOR NIPPY DIPPER FUNDRAISING EVENTAn Aberdeen-based cancer support charity is appealing to brave individuals to join members of its team taking part in a bracing Boxing Day tradition. There is still time to sign up to take part in the annual Nippy Dipper event on behalf of CLAN Cancer Support. The event, which is organised by the Aberdeen Lions Club, takes place at Aberdeen Beach on Boxing Day. Last year 30 dippers took part in the event on behalf of CLAN and helped to raise over £3,000 for the charity, which is hoping to sign up even more willing participants this year. Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, said: “This is definitely one of our most popular fundraising activities and this year is proving no different. “However there is still time to sign up to join our team, in fact people can register at the event on the day making it a great opportunity to do something a little bit different with friends and family. ”This year I will be braving the chilly temperatures alongside my two daughters, and am very much looking forward to joining many of our supporters.” Anyone who would like to take part, or would like more information about the Nippy Dipper event should contact CLAN on 01224 647 000.
Participants are invited to take part in fancy dress or in a CLAN t-shirt which will be provided for them.
