Subsea production system contract awarded to Aker Solutions29 December 2011 – Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by Statoil for the engineering, procurement and construction of a subsea production system for the Svalin project on the Norwegian continental shelf. The total contract value is approximately £43million GBP (NOK 400 million). Aker Solutions’ operation in Dyce, Aberdeen, will deliver subsea and topside production control systems and wellhead systems as part of the contract. Additional scope of work is two subsea trees, one four-slot integrated template structure with process distribution manifold and a remote connection system.
“We are very proud to be awarded this subsea production system project from Statoil and pleased to be further involved in the development of delivering standardised subsea solutions for fast-track developments,” says Alan Brunnen, head of Aker Solutions’ subsea business area.
Final deliveries will be made in Q3 2013.
Svalin is a fast-track oil field project located in the middle part of the North Sea, about eight kilometers southwest of the Grane field and approximately 185 kilometres west of Haugesund, in a water depth of approximately 120 metres.
Management, engineering and procurement of the subsea production system will be primarily performed at Aker Solutions’ headquarters in Oslo, Norway. Fabrication and manufacturing will take place in Tranby and Egersund in Norway and Aberdeen in the UK. 103 views
