Survivex Opens Largest Single Site State of the Art Training Complex in ScotlandThe only training centre of its kind in Scotland is now open in Aberdeen. Survivex, a new start business delivering excellence in safety unveils its 53,000 square foot state of the art, bespoke training facility in Dyce. The new build centre is the largest such single site complex in Scotland and is fully equipped with the latest equipment and facilities for offshore survival and industrial skills training for the oil and gas industry. Survivex will deliver a range of fully accredited courses at the centre. Survivex, which has planned to have a staff of fifty by the end of 2011, opens with 43 permanent members of staff and has created an additional 10 posts via contracted services.
Established by managing director, George Green who has over 20 years experience within the training sector and who sold his previous training business in 2008, Survivex will offer training in-house, at client premises and offshore across the globe.
Survivex, managing director, George Green says, “The significant investment we have made in the development of our bespoke training facility is driven by our goal to provide the highest quality, fully accredited training for the oil and gas industry. We aim to be the market leader and to establish a new standard for the delivery of excellent safety training.
“Survivex has two purpose built pools with helicopter underwater escape training apparatus, as well as simulated helicopter deck for helicopter landing officer training. This makes us the only single site centre in Scotland to offer this scope of services. We will also deliver training at clients’ sites both on and offshore.”

The new training facility, developed by Knight Property Group, also includes purpose built rigging frames, dedicated halls for forklift, confined space, banksman slinger and skills training as well as offering conference and meeting facilities.
