Tarland Fiddler to Play at Deeside Doric Event

World renowned Tarland Fiddler is set to play at local Deeside Doric Event on 13th October as part of the 2011 Doric Festival.

Paul Anderson is headlining Deeside Activity Park’s annual Deeside Doric Dirl on 13th October. “It is great that Paul has agreed to play at this year’s Doric Dirl, earlier this year he wrote some tunes for Ken, so we are all hoping that he will play them at this year’s event!’ said Fiona, Sales and Marketing for the park.

Paul will be joined by Haldie Winton, Rob McCombie, local dancers and Deeside Activity Park’s very own Ken Howie to name a few. ‘The Dirl is a great event to bring the local community together to celebrate the Doric Language through song, poetry, music and dance.’ Said Ken Howie, owner of the park.

The event is on Thursday 13th October at the park starting at 7 pm and as part of the ticket price you will be served Cairnton Aberdeen Angus Stovies during the interval.

The Deeside Doric Dirl is only one of the Scottish events that happen at Deeside Activity Park, Cairnton Aberdeen Angus Steak Celebration Evenings in March and September and The Burn’s Lunch on 22nd January 2012.
