Technology companies offered chance to showcase innovations to global oil and gas operators

Innovative technology developers are being urged to bring their solutions to the ITF Annual Technology Showcase which will be attended by hundreds of decision makers from global operator and service companies.

Spaces are limited for the one day event, which takes place on Tuesday 8 November at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, and many companies have already signed up.

Organised by ITF and sponsored by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, the exhibition which is in its third year will be the largest yet, bringing together oil and gas companies with around 50 exhibitors to promote novel developments which can solve pertinent industry challenges.

Neil Poxon, Managing Director of ITF said: “The showcase provides the ideal platform for technology developers and academics to engage directly with end users. The aim is not only to promote these pioneering developments, but to help them find out directly about operator needs and challenges. Delegates from our member companies will be in attendance and we have opened up the event to other interested companies.”

“The event has been a great success in the past two years and we are taking it to its largest scale yet. It opens the doors for technology developers to tap into a wider audience for their inventions and gives access to the most significant names in the sector under one roof.”

The Annual Technology Showcase will be held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Tuesday 8 November 2011 from 10am - 4pm.

A not-for-profit organisation, ITF is owned by its operator and service company members and drives the development and implementation of groundbreaking technology and provides solutions to industry challenges. Funding joint industry projects through its members, ITF allows developers to receive up to 100% funding for their original ideas.

ITF has invested more than £50 million in the funding of new technology developments from early stage projects through to field trials and commercialisation. With over 170 joint industry projects launched to date, ITF aims to secure a further £50 million to launch 40 projects per year from 2015.
