The Troops have Arrived at Coates Offshore

An expanding Aberdeen oil & gas firm continues to strengthen its management team with the recent announcement of two key appointments. Bruce Strachan joins Coates Offshore as QHSE Manager and Mark Bullmore as Engineering Services Manager.

Bruce holds a number of years experience in similar roles within the oil and gas industry, most recently for a local marine support company. Bruce also brings with him significant skills gained from a solid career in the Royal Engineers for 22 years. “This not only brings a depth of knowledge to our management team but more importantly a diversity to operate in our emerging markets,” commented Kieran White, Executive Director.

Mark Bullmore will be focusing on the quality, availability and productivity of the Coates Offshore fleet of equipment as part of his new role as Engineering Services Manager. He too has an extensive career background in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an aircraft engineer for over 20 years, coupled with a number of years in the oil and gas industry working with PSL Energy Services and Halliburton, in maintenance and project managerial positions.

“Mark’s RAF engineering expertise and process maintenance driven background will add great value to our existing systems and enable us to enhance and expand our Coates Offshore Silver Service maintenance programme for our global customers,” added Kieran.

“The appointment of Mark and Bruce are pivotal to the ongoing international growth of our business,” said Kieran. “In order to continue our commitment to our customers and our investment in the growth of our operations, we are continuing to invest in quality people to join our team.”

Coates Offshore now employs over 80 people globally and supply core products of air compression and steam generation designed to support the needs of major oil & gas operators and service companies in the production of oil and gas, well testing, high pressure pipeline, rig repair and maintenance.
