Transport marshals to supervise new night taxi rank

Transport marshals will offer an increased presence at Aberdeen’s newest night time taxi rank over the festive period.

The normally unmanned night rank at the Castlegate will be supervised by two marshals on Fridays and Saturdays during December.

They will join the existing marshals who cover the other three night ranks, located on Union Street – at Summer Street, Bon Accord Street and outside the St Nicholas Graveyard.

Two marshals will also be stationed on the Back Wynd taxi rank from 5pm on December 16, 17 and 23. Back Wynd is not a night rank but is expected to be very busy in the days leading up to Christmas.
