Tricker PR flying high with two nominations for the UK Event AwardsTricker PR has been shortlisted for two awards in the UK Event Awards 2011 for the marketing and promotion of The Royal Deeside Larder food events. The dynamic Aberdeen PR firm has been nominated in the Best Marketing Strategy and Best PR Strategy categories. The success comes just a month after the company was nominated for two categories in the Scottish Event Awards 2011 and has reached the finals of the Northern Star Business awards. Tricker PR gained valuable media coverage for the event across the UK as well as producing all marketing materials. Tricker PR’s partners at Blue Square design in Dundee share the nomination for Best Marketing Stratgey. The UK Event Awards ceremony takes place on 30th November 2011 at Wembley Stadium. The Royal Deeside and Cairngorms Destination Management Organisation (DMO) set out to encourage additional ‘foodie tourists’ and more local people to sample quality produce from the area. The events included Scotland’s first ever Venision Festival, Dine on Deeside in March which encouraged local businesses to offer special promotions and unusal dishes and the Tanalonga, a gastro ramble around Glen Tanar Estate. Another project supported by Tricker PR, The Aberdeen Asset Management Universities’ Boat Race 2011 has also been shorlisted for Best Educational Event and Best Student Event. Adam Downie and Andrew Staite, rowing club team captains from Aberdeen University and The Robert Gordon University were the faces of the 2011 campaign.
