Volunteers needed to help clear invasive rhododendron from Aberdeen hill

Aberdeen City Council’s ranger service is seeking volunteers to help clear the invasive rhododendron growing on Elrick Hill.

The volunteer workday is planned for Saturday [11 February] from 10am and 3pm and will be led by countryside ranger Simon Whitworth.

Anyone interested in getting involved should meet at Tyrebagger Forest in the second car park on the left after leaving the A96.

Volunteers should wear warm clothes, stout boots and waterproofs and bring a packed lunch. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided.
